I had such a wonderful time exploring Bali! The island is beautiful, but what truly made the trip unforgettable was our amazing tour guide, Lena. She went above and beyond to make sure we not only saw the highlights but also understood the deeper cultural and traditional aspects of Balinese life. Regarding the hot air ballooning activity, we completely understand the disappointment at missing out on that highlight. Unfortunately, this experience was cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (which is somewhat common with hot air ballooning given its reliance on weather conditions). The refund was processed for all guests immediately - please let us know if you believe you have not received this.

Again, we’re grateful for your constructive feedback and hope to welcome you on another adventure soon - possibly even one that includes clear skies and an unforgettable balloon flight!

It was relaxing and attended by great people. The narratives about the trip could have been more descriptive. It was unfortunate we could not do the scheduled hot air balloon ride. The visit to the winery was excellent but following the 3.5 challenging hike was not the best scheduling.  Although we were told we would get a refund for that activity, no additional information has been provided.

Portugal was a wonderful and relaxing vacation away from the rat race of life.  I cannot say enough about Kendell and the way she leads a group.  This was my third trip with Kendell, and each one has been a great experience.  Yoga and meditation is her calling and the hike we went on was planned perfectly for this trip.  Looking forward for future retreats!

This trip was amazing in every way! Laura and Heather were incredible hosts and had a non-stop itinerary of exciting adventures organized for us. The trip was well-planned and organized and everything (within their control) went very smoothly. Our Guide, Tom, was knowledgeable and fun and our bus driver was responsible and safe. I thought the trip was well supported and Mathieu from Watse was an exceptional guide. Meals were ok, but protein was lacking and I am glad I brought my own as most were vegetarian and carb focused. Some of the refugio were jam packed w too many people in a room considering duffel,backpacks etc.

The trip explored the French, Italian, and Swiss Alps. Having the ability to stay in small towns along the way to fully immerse ourselves in the culture and explore. Our guide was fantastic and explained what to expect each day. The community that was created by Kendell in a few days is really a remarkable way to share this experience with strangers who became friends. 

Well I don't know that you can say more than that! I sincerely hope that you have the chance to travel with Laura again. Maybe Europe next time???

This was an amazing trip Host Laura Caldwell was so thoughtful and included so many special surprises.  It was beyond any expectation I had.  Co-host Heather brought humor and selfless support to the group.  The camaraderie and energy experienced amongst the group was exhilarating.

This was a great trip! It was wonderful to meet Laura and Heather who were amazing hosts. Tom and Jackson took great care of us and shared their knowledge of the area. The accommodations were fantastic and the coach was clean and very comfortable. It was fun spending time with like-minded women, thrifting, and eating. I got some great finds and pictures. Zanzibar: A Two-Part Review of an Unforgettable  Trip

I recently had the joy of traveling to Zanzibar with @offtheclocknurse, and I wanted to share both the amazing highlights and one major low point of the experience. This is a two-part review to give credit where it’s due and also be honest about what didn’t go so well. 

Part 1: The Magic of Zanzibar (this part gets 5 stars.) 
Traveling with @offtheclocknurse is always something special, and this trip was no exception. Her warmth, leadership, and ability to create a joyful, connected group experience truly made the journey unforgettable. One of the most surprising highlights was our visit to a local spice farm. I didn’t think I would care much about it, but walking through the gorgeous trees, learning about the origins and uses of different spices and fruits, and being guided by such passionate and caring locals completely blew my expectations. It was such a peaceful and enriching experience.

Other standout moments included visiting the red colobus monkeys and spending time with sea turtles. Both were powerful, joyful experiences that added something truly special to our time in Zanzibar. Also, we cannot forget the pristine ocean waters on our chosen day off. What a treat!

Something to keep in mind is that many of our drives were long. It’s a good idea to plan your fluid intake, since you won’t always know whether the next stop will have a proper toilet or just a hole in the ground.

We stayed at White Paradise, which absolutely lived up to its name. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced while traveling, and the service was top-notch. Adela, from the hotel’s management team, went above and beyond to make us feel like family. She brought a personal touch that made the stay feel warm and welcoming. I want to go back and stay there again!

Part 2: A Snorkeling Excursion Nightmare (This part gets zero stars.)
While most of the trip was beautifully planned and executed, I also want to be honest about one terrible experience . The snorkeling day turned into a bit of a nightmare. The weather was clearly not in our favor. While no one can control the elements, the decision to go ahead with the excursion without offering an alternate experience or rescheduling was disappointing.

What was supposed to be a 30-minute boat ride turned into a rough and exhausting 1 hour and 45-minute journey on a rickety boat through intense, choppy waters. Four of the seven of us started to feel sick shortly after we took off. And those who weren’t sick were getting beat up by the constant slamming of the boat against the waves. To make matters worse, the boat didn’t even have enough proper life vests. I had to wear one that didn’t fit correctly, one of the girls was given a child-sized vest, and another vest had dark, questionable stains that made us feel even more uneasy.

Once we finally reached the reef, the snorkeling gear provided was poor quality, and the strong waves made it nearly impossible to use the snorkel properly. I snorkeled for about six minutes, mostly holding my breath and just trying to stay calm. It was a stressful and uncomfortable situation that could have been avoided with better planning by the company that was hired.

Final Thoughts
Despite the one horrible experience, this trip was filled with heart, adventure, connection, and unforgettable moments. Zanzibar is stunning, and experiencing it with @offtheclocknurse made all the difference. I’m so grateful for the memories we made and the people I got to share them with.

I booked this trip on a whim because Scotland was a place I have always wanted to visit and it was the best decision. Everything was so well organised, there was no pressure to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with like I’ve felt with other tour companies in the past, all in all it was the trip of a lifetime and I would definitely travel with this group again.

Just wrapped up an unforgettable South Africa adventure, and I can’t stop smiling! 🌍🐘 This was my third trip with the incredible @offtheclocknurse, and once again, she proved to be a truly amazing host. Her care, energy, and ability to create harmony and joy within the group made all the difference.

Kruger National Park was everything I imagined and more. We saw 4 of the Big 5 (those elusive rhinos are still hiding!). And Chobe National Park was the icing on the cake. The landscapes, the wildlife, the magic of it all.

One major highlight? Hanging at the edge of the world at Angel’s Pool… pure awe. The memories made on this trip will stay with me for a lifetime. Already counting down until the next one! 💛✈️🌿

A Week in Paris - The City of Light with Laura Caldwell

I had an amazing time! From my perspective, the entire trip went smoothly and was seamless. The hotel we stayed at was great, and it had an amazing breakfast! All the outings were well thought out and allowed for both sight-seeing and shopping. Our tour guide was incredible! He was easy to talk to, well informed about all the places we went to, and would chime in during the bus rides (which could be long with traffic) with information about what we were passing. Our hosts, Laura and Jesse, were also amazing! They made everyone feel welcome and included, and made a point to try get to know everyone. They also gave tips about what to expect, and helped anyone with an issue or if they were unsure how to do something. It was such a great experience; I intend to try to go on future trips with this group!
